Andrew Muirhead & Son has established itself as a leading tannery of hides for use in upholstery. Since 1840 it has produced hides of distinction for the U.K. and the world. We are proud of our quality standards built into each and every hide. You will never be disappointed with a cowhide from Andrew Muirhead & Son.
All leathers produced by Andrew Muirhead & Son are full grain with fully penetrated lightfast dyes. They are produced from unbranded Northern European cattle hides - specially selected for size and grain quality. Andrew Muirhead does not make surface dyed, finished split or colour laminated leather.

Technical Information
Andrew Muirhead & Son Limited are a Registered Firm with the British Standards Institution and operate an approved BS 5750 Part Two Quality Assurance System. This certification incorporates the International Quality Standard ISO 9002. The leathers are manufactured to surpass the requirements of British Standard BS 6608: 1985 for which the company holds a Kitemark Licence.
Representative batch testing is also carried out in accordance with the British leather industry code of practice and the results satisfy the requirements of Schedule 5 Part One of Statutory Instrument 1324 - Furniture & Furnishings (Fire) (Safety) Regulations (1988).
